A mirror bounce keeps the hardness and intensity of direct sun, but lets you place it where the real sun cannot reach. Compared with white bounce it is sharper, brighter, and more dangerous to overdo — perfect for graphic slashes, eye bands, and high-contrast fashion shape.

Key notes

1Aim the mirror by watching the reflected patch on the wall first, then move it onto the subject slowly.
2Keep the reflected beam off the eyes until the pose and exposure are set; mirror bounce is intense.
3Use black clothing or dark background when you want the hard reflected shape to feel intentional.
4White bounce is the safety version; mirror bounce is the graphic editorial version.
