A bright phone or laptop is a real soft key: cool or colored, directional from below, with rectangular catchlights and fast falloff. Keep a folder of 5–10 solid full-screen colors on the device — white for clean skin, amber, magenta, cyan, blue, red — and you have a gel kit without gels.
