The underside of the nose and the chin are brighter than the bridge — the tell of a source below the face — and the catchlight sits on the pupil because she looks down into the screen.

Final look

Base setup

A bright phone or laptop is a real soft key: cool or colored, directional from below — brighter under the nose and chin than on the bridge — with fast falloff. Keep a folder of 5–10 solid full-screen colors on the device — white for clean skin, amber, magenta, cyan, blue, red — and you have a gel kit without gels.

Key notes
